thank you.

Many years ago there was a serious Burmese restaurant called "Mandalay" on lower Suriwong Road (I think where India Hut is today). It's long gone, though, and I haven't heard of anything similar popping up. I assume you know about the greasy spoon-type places on Pan Road.

not familiar about the greasy spoon type places that you mentioned. where is pan road. care to explain more? someone once told me there are some restaurants new the 'general post office' where is that?

thanks.

Pan Road runs off of Silom right at the Indian Temple ("Wat Khaek", across from the Narai Hotel. There are some cafe-like places that have pre-prepared Burmese food, cafeteria style. I've got to admit that I've never tried any of them, as the quality of the food doesn't look all that great.

The GPO is nearby, on Charoenkrung Road between Surawong and Siphraya Roads. There are lots of small Indian and Burmese cafe-type places in the small alleys in that area, but again I have not explored.

if you find anything good, please share the info!
