I bought the Garmin Thailand maps online in the US and it arrived on a SD card. I used it with my Dell PDA and I then had to send them some information from my PDA and I was given an unlock code. Everything was great but then the card started throwing up errors. I ask a mate who is an IT specialist to take a look at it and he brought it back saying the card was now ok as he had formatted it and I just needed to reload the program. Trouble is, I was only sent the Card and no backup CD!!!

I told Garmin about this and they have not been very helpful - in fact they have basically said tough. I have also contacted a seller in BKK (esri) and asked them and they cannot help me either. Apparently, the card should not have neem able to be formatted it the first place.

What is annoying is I have the unlock code from Garmin for my PDA. Does anyone know if I have a leg to stand on with Garmin??

I'd send Garmin the card and the unlock code plus the information about your PDA and hope for the best. Maybe they'll send a replacement and maybe they won't. I don't see where you have any other options.
