Getting Married In Thailand

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've just arrived in Thailand to marry my Thai Girlfriend but I have no idea where to start! I've heard a lot of bad things about visa/marriage agents so I am sceptical about using one!

I'm a british citizen and want to marry my Thai girl in a registy office (or thai equivilant) so that the marriage is legal back home.

From bits and bats I read on the internet it would appear that I will need to get married in bangkok, I am currently staying in Pattaya, I am prepared to travel to Bangkok, however is there anyway I can get married in Pattaya to save travelling? Also any idea what its likely to cost???

Can any one offer me an A-Z on getting married in Thailand........???

Many Thanks

Pataya-Bkk..... avoid travel--- It isn't like Patay is a huge distance. Maybe if the family wagon is being pulled by a tiller it is far.

I wish you luck.
