90 Day Reporting

Featured Replies

Dear all,

My friend is so confused as he don't know if he is going to report every 90 days to the immigration or not. He has a Non-0 visa as he is working for an NGO here. His passport has no ticket attached that he has to report every 90 days but a stamp showing that he is admitted until april 13 of this year. So for this reason he did not report to the immigration last Dec that supposedly his 90 days. It's 4 months now, if he has done wrong with the reporting and all, how much would he pay for the 4 months and what will be his best option.

thanks,

BM

If he has been in the country longer than 90 days without leaving he needs to make 90 day reports. He can do this at any immigration office. It is likely he will be fined 2,000 baht for being late reporting but it is not likely to be any more serious than that.

Are you sure he is not using 90 day entry and then leaves the country/returns? If doing that and getting 90 day stamps he does not need to make 90 day reports.

he never left Thailand since Dec of last year. When I saw his passport, he has no ticket saying he has to report last dec that was his 90 days here. He said when he arrive last september here, he didn't have this ticket.

They don't tell you. You are expected to know about it.

He didn't know as this is his first time here. the problem is he never asked only now.

You do not just arrive and stay six months without stamps from Immigration - who obtained those stamps and why did the not inform him if he did not do it himself? The max visa entry is 90 days unless it is a non immigrant OA visa (for retirement) which is not what you say this person is doing here. The (receipt) slip of paper is what you get on your first report. If he has never made a report he would not have it.

he already called the immigration today and told him he needs to report ASAP and pay THB 2,000 for not reporting.

Thanks,
