March 13, 200818 yr I don't need this letter at the present but talking to a Thai Lawyer the other day he was under the impression you just go to the British Consulate in Chiang Mai, show your passport, swear that you have an income from overseas, pay the costs and go away with a letter stating you have x amount of income from the UK. Is it is as easy as this? Curious to hear from anyone who has got the letter.
March 13, 200818 yr This is not true as you have to show proof at the embassy of your income before they will give you a letter.
March 13, 200818 yr The US uses the under oath statement. The UK will want paperwork to support your claim.
