Is that not amazing?

Different species talking/communicating with eachother and help eachother.

It shows that we do not know much about other living beings on this planet

How is this Thailand related?

Well are there any places where people can swim with dolphins, either in some kind of controlled enviroment or in the open sea?

Thanks for posting that, Alex. :o

I remember reading an article in, I think, The Daily Telegraph a few years ago about a male dolphin that swam off the Welsh coast and helped people with severe depression. They used the case-history of this one chap who had been thoroughly depressed for years. His wife and children had tried to help him, so had the doctors, all to no avail. He was told about this dolphin and was put into the water off the side of a boat. After a few minutes, he felt the dolphin (I think his name was Sammy or Simmy, something like that) coming up next to him. The man became a bit agitated but the "handler" calmed him down and told him to wait and not to be afraid. This dolphin swam right up next to the man and rested his head against the man's chest, looking up at him. Apparently, this chap just completely let go and wept like a child for about five minutes, the dolphin not moving all the while. Eventually he calmed down and the dolphin just swam off. And... that was it; the guy was fine! I think the dolphin "specialised" in helping people with depression. I remember when I read the story, I was really moved.

Edited as I've just remembered the dolphin's name. Simmo

Well, I'm probably way off here, but, I was of the opinion that there was a place, south of Hua Hin, where there were dolphins and people were able to interact with them--wrong, or what?

Edit--just checked it out and there's a place called Dolphin Bay resort near Prachuap Kiri Khan, actually if I remeber right it's nearer to Pranburi but it's around here.

Ha-ha, truth anywhere is scarce. But go visit the sanctuary, it is awesome, never mind the truth. Built by a private person. And then spend some quiet time reflecting and reading in the soi 6 library. A perfect day out in Pattayayayayay.

But come on now, be serious and answer the question, is there actually a place where you can swim with dolphins? Like in the good ol' "Flipper" tv series (tv as in television).

That would be nice, I think dolphins are great, I saw them in the Durban harbour on a "booze cruise" (I was the only one not to get seasick, so I had all the food and booze for myself). And the dolphins, awesome, they came to play around the bow of the boat. Fantastic creatures.

So be good now, and inform us about where to swim with them!

i heard you could swim with them at the sanctuary of truth which is why i brought it up?

I just wrote a reply, but something went wrong, and it slipped into a parallel internet, and is probably on its way to the Andromedra Fog via a wormhole by now...

girlx, sorry I did not think you meant that one can actually swim with the dolphins at the Sanctuary of Truth, only that they had them, sort of on display.

I shall check it out, same as for the Oasis Sea world suggested by SBK.

Thanks to both!
