Advice On Returning To Thailand After A Few Months

Featured Replies

Hi All

I was wondering if anyone knew exactly the regulations regarding leaving the country and getting back in after a period of time.

I have been staying in Thailand on tvs and was beginning to get red stamps on my passport telling me not to return to the place I was getting them from (such as Penang, Singapore) so I had to leave. I am now in the Philippines working on a livaboard dive boat for, hopefully till the end of September, which will mean I will have been out of the country for 7 months.

Would this be enough time out of the country to be granted another tv somewhere? I presume I'll have to get one here in the Phines, but I wondered how the time out of the Kingdom would affect my eligibility for entry back into Thailand.

Any help gratefully received as usual!

Manila is not known for being visa friendly. Depending on the country of you passport, you can always come in on a 30 day visa exempt entry. Then you could go to Vientiane Laos and get a tourist visa. This is probably the easiest place for a tourist visa at the moment and you may even be able to get a double entry tourist visa there.
