Not much happening in Sakon Nakhon. Here are two links which may help. http://www.sakonnakhon-live.com/ http://www.thaistudents.com/guidebook/prov...kon_nakhon.html Good luck. rockyysdt
Thanks Rocky........do you live there or nearby? No, but I'm visiting as well. I did some research and was given these links. This place is quite deep into Isaan and relatively poor area. Udon Thani is much larger and about 120kms away to the left. http://www.clickthai.de/Bilder/Karten/ThaiNO75.gif Danny Edited March 18, 2008 by rockyysdt

Was it a joke, one wonders!

Was it a joke, one wonders! Hi citizen. You must be mistaken. I wasn't looking for any kind of bar or gogo's. I responded in relation to grapetables enquiry. Thought I'd help him with the links I supplied relating to Sakon Nakhon. cheers. Danny
BigSnake
Agree from my passing thur Udonthani is a better place to fine a drink/drinking buddy. Checkout a place call Harry's.

Danny Dear Danny, I offer abject apologies if I made you feel uncomfortable by my implied suggestion that you are the kind of person who would venture into a den of iniquity like this hotel bar. I was merely responding to the OP's question about 'bars and clubs', and the suggestion running through much of the thread that there is absolutely nowhere to go in Sakon Nakhon. As stated, however, the report about MJ Majestic may not have been entirely serious. Citizen33
rockyysdt
It's fine Citizen33. It's just that being a public record, I needed to clear up any possible misperceptions caused by the post. Is the bar at MJ Majestic a little on the conservative side? I've never been their, but I've heard that the M J is one of the leading places to stay at in Sakon Nakhon. Asian Frog
Push to Nakhon Phanom where the activity is more important. Several restaurants serving beer alongside the Maekong (Including two hotels) Few night bars (Barnana is very famous amidst the students) A restaurant serving western food, steak, in front of Hospital... Nakhon Phanom is only at 80km from Sakorn Nakhon
