Nintendo Ds Wifi

Featured Replies

I recentley got a wifi internet connection. I am now wondering how I go about connecting my Nintendo DS to the net i.e play others on a wifi connection. I have many wifi games but nothing happens. The thing searchs but comes up with nothing. Do I need to set something first? I have a quick search on the net but found no info.

Rich:

Do you have the wifi usb connector from Nintendo? You can get at MBK and it has the cd to load the software or you can download the software from Nintendo. I found this easier than fooling around with settings. I have no probs with DS wifi play. It is great. MArio Kart DS is a great wifi game as well as hooking up with someone to play backgammon. There is no lag time unlike the Wii which is sometimes slow.

Ahh, that may have something to do with it. No, I don't have the the Nintendo hub. Do you know how much are they? Also do I need original games to play over the net?

Thanks.

Rich:

I believe I bought mine for less than 2k and that was when the DS first came out. I would expect it to be less now. It will work with the R4 or other similar device which runs the copied games. The Hub works for the Wii also. However, I would be careful with using copied games with the Wii and the online service as they are looking for Wii consoles that have been physically altered on the inside.
