Tesco Lotus used to sell an LG unit that was a combo VCR / DVD player. Don't know if they still sell them. Plenty of s/h VCR's in old style porn shops & crap convertors may have a couple hanging around.

I have one that I'd be happy to sell to you. However, it's from the USA. So you'd need a step down transformer, and a TV that will play NTSB (which most new TVs will do).

you will be very lucky to find a new one on offer anywhere but Cash Converters in Carrefour usually have one or two second hand ones around
