mr_hippo
When I am cycling I use an ATC2K helmet camera with 2GB SD memory cards. Both of the cards I have have been formatted to FAT16 as the camera does not support FAT32. Sounds like I know what I'm talking about but it's from the manufacturer's instructions! Only one of the cards needs to be formatted every time (the other works perfectly), both cards are about 6 months old. Do I have a faulty card or is it possible to reformat it so that it stays in FAT16 mode?

jstumbo
can your camera format cards? Most cameras I have had have an option to format the card.
mr_hippo
How do you download the video from the SD cards and onto what?Downloaded to PC via USB lead Do the SD cards have a different volume name - eg a & b or are they the same and you hot swap when full? They do not have different volume names. I am not familiar with the term 'hot swap'. Before the cards are swapped, the camera is turned off. Have you tried them when formatted as Fat32? When they are formatted as FAT32, an error message is displayed on the camera. can your camera format cards? Most cameras I have had have an option to format the card. The cards can only be formatted by the PC when connected via USB lead.
