Did I Fractulate The Ozdinapper When I Selected Google Search?

All was fine until I tried that new search feature, in the upper left hand of the screen, rather than the old method I had used. Since then, I no longer have a normal display of the posts when I select a thread. I get the opening post and the most recent post only, followed by a high-school style, black and white, indented outline of the history of the thread. I can no longer browse through the thread. Had I inadvertently activated the space warp dogitizer? Where is that Star Trek engineer, Scottie, when you need him?
