"my Documents" Folder Suddenly Changed

Featured Replies

Normally,if I open a folder from within "My Documents" and am viewing for example, photos

but I want to send a pic back to the regular "My Documents" folder it's not a problem.Simply right click, scroll down to "send to" and voila!....well suddenly this function does not work!...NOW when I right click and scroll down to "send to" it ONLY

shows that I can send to the <deleted> E:Drive!! <deleted>!!!

Thanks much for any help

mel

Normally the Send To targets are stored in a hidden folder called 'Send To'. You can find this by doing a search for it, with folder options set to 'Show hidden files and folders'. It sounds like some of the files in this folder have become corrupted. I guess you could try copying them from a good installation of Win XP on another computer as a first attempt at fixing it.

Thanks Katana,

I'll try to do a search for "send to"

I did a full scan with avast this evening and it found 4

trojan viruses!..I put in "chest" and did a system restore.

Maybe the viruses corrupted the files?..but how did the folder

setting reset? Hacked?
