6 Month Back Home After Stayed 6 Month In Thailand On Tourist Visa?

Featured Replies

Hello every body,

Big question... Is that real that a new immigration regulation say that after 6 months in thailand on tourist visa we have to go back home 6 month before apply a new one is possible?

One more, if I go Penang will can I get a non imm B ,(after 6 months on tourist visa) if I have all the documents necessary?

Thanks to answer My actually visa will finish on 16 April, and have to make a decision before ....

Thank you all...

There is no such rule for tourist visas but any Consulate can set there own rules, so a specific Consulate could say that for coming back to there Consulate.

If you meet the requirements for a B visa issue having been here on a tourist visa will not effect the decision.

if i'm not mistaken a law exists which limits the stay per year to maximum 90 days for people with names like "khondeehaakhaorouamdouei" :o

I think they give a bonus 5 days for each character in your name. :o

Sorry to clarify please, did you have a visa to arrive in Thailand, and if so where and when was it issued?

Regards

I am in thailand, since few years, 6 monts ago with a non B but cannot get the working permit because of some administratives problems, then apply twice for a tourist visa in Penang.

The 16 of April I will go out to Penang try to get another one, but I heard that there is some refused people to return in thailand...

So I am looking for informations before I shall go on...

Would probably be better going to Vientienne . Would likely get a double entry.

I'd say Penang might be a problem these days given the reputation of the new consular head, though possibly given the position you outline {delay in getting wp} KL might not be a problem. Of course, if you've not used any visa waivers {aka 30 day stamp} and you are from a country which this applies to then this would give you some time and leeway, especially if the wp is due shortly, though you must be on a non-immigrant visa to apply for the wp itself {and visa must remain in force during application process}.

Regards
