A complicated problem for you experts:

The preamble:

I entered Thailand on 1 February 2008 and got a 30 day visa. Since then I have entered and exited several times, keeping my stamps current. However, last week I was travelling out of the country and lost my passport. It has since been replaced, and now, according to my passport, I have only been in the country since last week, rather than since the beginning of February.

The questions:

1) Is there any kind of rule that says that I can only enter and exit Thailand 3 times within my 90 day tourist visa period? Because I plan to enter and exit the country a few more times.

2) When do my 90 days officially expire now that I've got a new passport? At the end of April as the stamps in my prior passport (and maybe in some kind of immigration data system)? Or at the end of 90 days counting from a start date of last week?

Thanks for your help...

You seem to never have had a visa if you are just using "stamps" and have not visited a Consulate. There is no 30 day visa on entry. Only 30 day visa exempt stamps on entry. And that is limited to 90 days in a six month period. The rule is per person, not per passport, and as your passport is clearly marked as a replacement and old passport number is in it Immigration is very likely to check there computers and not allow another 30 day entry at the end of April.

But it is 90 days in 6 months. It sounds like you have had many entries in and out since Feb. 1. It is just the total days that you have been in Thailand, not the number of entries or days that you were given in stamps. So if you come in and out, you just need to count the number of days that you were in Thailand on a visa exempt entry counting back 6 months.

How did you get your entry stamp transferred into your new passport ? Imm must have stamped your new Passport correctly.

As for your question "What Does A Lost And Replaced Passport Mean For The 90 Days Visa Rules" , The answer is simple, Absolutely nothing as the 90 day rule is for the person and not the Passport.
