LaoPo
He is one very lucky guy, getting away with his action for a mere SGD 5,000 or EURO 2,324 if you take the strict S'porean Laws in order and the REAL costs which were made... VERY LUCKY INDEED. LaoPo

Their Civil/Military coordination throughout the whole episode was abysmal. Anyway, what's going to happen to the poor old floatplane now?

Lots of reasons, many of them valid. But if you have the time and inclination to follow all the previous threads on this post you will find the answers. simey
Hmmm, a guy who leeches off his neighbours open wifi signal gets jailed in Singapore, yet a pilot that caused a major security alert gets only 5,000 dollars fine? I'm sure you get more than that for chewing gum. Seems very light to me.
highdiver
is it really over???? what will happen to the plane?? the parking fees for 3 months at SG will have to out weigh the value of the aircraft... he paid over 60,000 for accommodations lawyer fees etc...+4000 penalty. he plaided guilty and was sentences guilty...so now he is completely exposed to civil law suites by all those airlines that lost a lot of money and will seek damages.
