This particular model is the Heb Rod and looks indeed really cool!

Last night in my dream i got some nice ideas for an v-dub hotrod but they are worthless if fender-less cars are not allowed on public roads.

However if it's not allowed then "removable" fenders are an option :o

I agree that it is a cool looking ride!

And, I don't know the answer about the legality of it in Thailand. I looked at the website, and was surprised to see that the builder / owner is from British Columbia, Canada. I do know for a fact that fenderless cars are not allowed on the road there.

If you had to drive in the rain, the front tires would be throwing up twin geysers all over your windshield /field of vision, and a pebble coming unstuck from the treads at highway speed would be like a bullet through your windshield or the car behind you if it is coming from one of the rear tires.

However if it's not allowed then "removable" fenders are an option :o

A good one, I'd say. If the guy drives on the roads in BC, he may have already worked this out. There is a link to contact the guy. Drop him and email and find out!

Aha. Britain and America. Two nations seperated by the same language. I think they are talking about mudguards here, not bumpers.

And then add somebody who's native language isn't english and it's a total chaos :o

With fenders i mean the things that are normally above (arround) the wheels (see picture).

But bino gives some good reasons to go with an removable "fender" setup (in case i want to go out of town. :D)

Thanks guys !

Well yes. But, the VW in the pic has had the wings removed. However, the addition of mudguards, a la Caterham, Wingfield, etc would answer the problem. Trouble is, the BiB would be forever stopping you, I reckon, even if you weren't actually breaking any laws. We know what they're like, yeah?
