tigerbeer Posted April 7, 2008 Share Posted April 7, 2008 Problem is that all of a sudden after some time, i can't connect on the browser. utorrent however continues to download stuff. a restart on the router solves the problem. any idea whats happening or how to fix it? i have the same router in the office and its never done this before. only on rare occasions, a restart is needed. lopburi3 Posted April 7, 2008 Share Posted April 7, 2008 Overload. Many routers have a problem with too many connections being open for downloading programs. If you Google you may find newer software or recommendation on max number of connections to allow. Or just clear the system when it locks up. sjaak327 Posted April 7, 2008 Share Posted April 7, 2008 Especialy torrents have the nasty habit of opening many connections, therefore indeed causing the router to overload, sometimes also with regard to memory usage.
