I tried to get an answer elsewhere.....

My friend was told by his car's LPG supplier that the price was going up to 20 bahtish later this year. That's nearly double!

Does anyone know anything about this?

Thankyou

Doubt it. That would mean they will not only have to take away the subsidy of LPG, but increase the taxes/excise as well.

Without the subsidy, the price would climb to around 15-16 Baht/liter.

This would bring the price difference between gas and petrol in line with pretty much the rest of the world. (where LPG generally costs around 50% of petrol)

It might hit 20 Baht/liter, but only when the petrol price goes over 40 Baht/liter! LPG is still a petrol product, so follows roughly crude oil prices...
