King Kong To Film In Thailand

"Filming will continue in Wellington until the end of the year, before moving to Thailand for the Samutran jungle scenes. Some post-production work will be undertaken in Los Angeles. PJ is pretending the 1976 (with Jessica Lange) film never existed"

Could Thailand actually become a move-making "hub"?

Before the original King Kong (with Faye Ray) was made, they went to northern Thailand around Nan and filmed a movie called 'Chang'. Silent, but a great movie which I guarantee the whole family would enjoy. It's available on DVD from Amazon.com

This New King Kong Movie is just a remake of the old original movie I have heard of course with present day special effects.
