Are there any restrictions on the amount of cash that can be deposited in a Bank in Thailand?

even though I do have a Bank account, I still wonder are the Banks safe? I mean for a foreigner, am I free to withdraw larger sums of cash as I wish or are there restrictions?

can anyone recommend a Bank or account type and perhaps more importantly advise which Banks or account types to avoid, I would prefer Euro accounts or other foreign currency

I know some currency restrictions exist in Thailand, but I am unsure of the details, I assume I can take foreign currency in and out of Thailand as I wish?
