Can I Enter Again In Three Months ?

Recommended Posts

Hi all ,

Can someone please clarify something for me. ( i may not be correct on my assumption here )

I will be leaving Thailand this week for three months. After 3 months I will return for a two week holiday.

I have received two ( 30 day visa exempt border stamps ) so I pressume I have one border run left available based on the 90 days allowed in 6 months rule.

When I return in three months, will I be able to enter Thailand at the airport with an airport 30 day visa exempt stamp or will I have to apply for another TV from abroad before coming ?

dates approx only :

Dec 7 , ( 30 day visa exempt border stamp )

Jan 5 , ( 30 day visa exempt border stamp )

Feb 4 , ( TV 60 day )

Mar --- ( incl TV )

Apr 5 , ( 30 day extension )

RETURN - August 1st .

Thank's for any feedback on this one.

Cheers!

Steven100, your current 6-month period for visa-exempt entries runs from December 7, 2006 to June 6, 2008. When you return to Thailand on August 1 you will be on a new 6-month period and therefore should be entitled to a total of 90 days visa-exempt stays for the period from August 1, 2008 to January 31, 2009, unless an immigration officer considers your new 6-month period to have started on June 7, 2008, ie immediately after the previous period ended, in which case the new period would run until December 6, 2008
