Work Permit In Various Countries Possible?

I was just wondering if it raises any issue to have a work permit and residence permit in several countries at the same time, say Thailand , Hong kong and France ? Is it more complicated to apply for one when we just got the other?

Any idea?

Problem for us is foreigners don't seem to get a signatory power in a thai company, even for the bank account, if they have'nt got a work permit. Is there a way around that rule where I or my wife (chinese citizen ) could get those signatory power without going through the work permit process?
