Pal To Ntsc Converters

Featured Replies

I bought a DVD player today and finally unpacked my 42" Sony Bravia LCD T.V that I bought in the U.S and tried to watch a movie......no luck. Since my Sony is not a multi-system T.V all the local DVDs and VCDs I've bought only shows up in black and white. When I hook up the new DVD player to a T.V I bought locally, everything plays fine.

When I hook up the Sony T.V to the (very old) DVD player that I bought from the U.S, everything plays with full color. So I guess I need a PAL to NTSC signal converter to be able to use the new DVD player with the Sony T.V.

Does anyone know where I can purchase a converter in or near Korat?

Thanks....

Check your DVD player. There often is an option to select for output PAL/NTSC.

There is no option to change the display from PAL to NTSC but.........called the store that I bought the DVD player from and...it is fixed. I simply had to push the N/P button on the DVD's remote and that change the display from PAL to NTSC.

I asked them why that was not in the manual and they said that no many people in Thailand has a NTSC T.V.

Props to them for knowing the answer........Now I can watch my movies in living color :o
