Reciprocity

Featured Replies

I have a friend who has been visiting England for many years, A Thai National who needs a visa for UK and has a multi-entry visa valid for five years, max length of stay six months. As a Brit. visiting Thailand I do not need a visa for a stay of thirty days but anything over that I need to apply with a letter from the company," mentioning the monthly salary and job position" (I work in the Middle East) show a return Air Ticket, and a confirmed hotel reservation.!!! To add injury to insult I have to do this for each visit. Not very welcoming are they? or is it that Thais are better negotiators than Brits at the diplomatic level.

Reciprocity might be a good idea, but it depends which way it goes.

It could backfire on your Thai friend if the Uk applied the Thai rules.

I expect you will find that the UK rules apply to a whole group of nations and

have nothing to do with Thai diplomatic skills.
