I'm not saying racism doesn't exist. Of course it does. But I think you're taking your personal experiences and applying them to the whole country. When I'm in the US I see Black, Hispanic, Asian and white families going to work, raising their kids and living their lives every day. I don't see people constantly being harassed by police like you're describing. My brother's adopted son is Black. He went to school, got his degree and now works at a local community service center. Nobody stopped him from getting an education or building a good life. Is America perfect? No. No country is. I've worked all overt the world that past 3 decades and from what I've seen the U.S. is still one of the best places in the world to live. That's one of the reasons millions of people still want to come here. And I don't buy the idea that Trump somehow gave people permission to be racist. Racists were around long before Trump, and they'll still be around long after he's gone. If someone is a racist, that's on them, not Trump. Let's call out racism when it happens, no matter who it's against. But I'm not going to pretend America is some terrible racist country because that hasn't been my experience.
