Some Brits might be interested in the new credit card from Abbey.

It has no overseas loading, no charge for withdrawal at an ATM - but it is a credit card so you pay interest on cash withdrawals.

Not quite as good as the Nationwide DEBIT card but a little better than the Nationwide CREDIT card.

Very interesting and good of you 'to spread the word' here.

The only thing that concerns me (I live here fulltime in Thailand BTW) is there is NO indication you can repay the card ONLINE, only by calling in at a branch or by telephone. Both options are VERY and Slightly inconvenient/cost effective (in the same order as the options.)

If you go through the on-line application process there is mention of a direct debit payment option.

Looks interesting and have just applied for a card.

Always useful to have a backup to Nationwide incase they have a rush of blood and chnage their operating conditions.
