I'm off to Bangkok for the Wigan Manchester United game next Sunday and I was hoping to know which channel is the game on? Will I get to watch it at my hotel?

I always thought it was on ESPN Star Sports but their website guide shows no football next Sunday.

Thanks in advance. :o

The game will be on True visions, as ESPN and Star do not have the rights in Thailand, unlike S'pore and Malaysia. Although we get most of the games we have to put up with schoolboy presentation and analysis from Somchai and his Turdsaks :o . Pretty much any bar will have the games on it, but as for hotels depends what packages they have got.

Thanks for the reply.

Since theres only one channel (true visions), does that mean theres a chance they might not show the United game but some other game instead?

Also my brother, who also wants to watch the game, is 18 years old. Is that too young for a bar?

There is more than one True sport channel and i can guarantee that they will show the Man U game because they are a very popular team in Thailand. Your brother won't need to go to the bar!

Cheers, Rick

Thats a relief Rick, but I was just asking about the bar thing incase my hotel doesnt have the channel. So I'm guessing you think all 5 star hotels should have the channel?

I am pretty sure that all 5 star hotels will have the channels, but if you have to go to a bar your 18 year old brother should be ok. If he is asked, which i doubt tell him to say he is 20. OK

Cheers, Rick

Just returned from Thailand yesterday, absolutely gutted.

While there i had 'True Move' installed in the house.

It has 5 sport channels, and i cant think of a single Premiership match that was not shown live (could be wrong !). On the 1 day that had more than 5 premiership matches at one time (very rare) they even added TSP extra 1 and TSP extra 2. Anyway the 'big 4' are very popular in Thailand and the Man U match will def be shown live.

Every single Premiership Game is Live on TV with the right UBC Package, Platimum i think it's called..

Not all Hotels have the Packages though & if i'm not mistaken, most Hotels have Cable TV in BKK ??

Go to a Bar, without a doubt.
