I am looking for electricity plug adapters which are inserted into wall outlets and can be turned ON/OFF by remote control.

Why? I have a device without a physical on/off button, so every time I want to reboot it, I need to pull the plug out of the wall socket, wait, and then put it back in again, which is getting tedious.

Would prefer to order online from a Thai website, but any regular shops in Chiang Mai or Bangkok that sell them would be helpful too. They should be three-pronged to fit grounded wall outlets, Thai style.

Thanks in advance. :o

I was in my Local IT mall last week , and they had the remote controlled adapters on display , just as you describe them,

hanging on a sales display board, One unit with One remote controller, and One unit with Two remote controllers, the only other thing I noted was they seemed to be made in Thailand, if you don't have any luck PM me and I will go back to the IT Mall and see if there's any more info Etc.

Thank you for the offer ThaiLife, it would be great if you had time to go back and check, in case I can't find them elsewhere. :o

Any others who have seen these?

I found this company website and it looks like they may have what I am looking for (the product is called Easy Plug): http://www.easy-light.com/eng/support.html

The website has no information about ordering online or via resellers though. I will send them an e-mail and see what I come up with. In the meantime all other input is welcome.

I am pretty sure that Amorn, (bkk, CM) that Thai electronic discount place, has some.

In CM they have a big shop on the north moat - I think in Ikon plaza. In Bkk, they have the whole top floor of Old Siam Center (NOT Siam Center - Old Siam Center!.
