dave111223
Just curious, is this outage right now affecting ATM and credit cards with banks overseas as well? It would appear so, i kept getting time out errors at ATMs a few hours ago when i tried to take out money.
VoIP
Thank Buddha! it seems they fixed it (or it fixed itself...whatever) Since 5 minutes internet is back at 'normal' speed here.. hope it stays that way
RKASA
It never started working here. This morning its the same. I can open the TV site but slow everything else is not working. No email and nothing can be surfed on port 80. All pages time out after trying to download at <1kbs for last 16 hours now.
george
Both CAT and TOT is extremely slow for the second day now.
prallo
My provider is CAT. It is much better than yesterday but slower than normal. But maybe this is because today is a national holiday and there are more people online than normally.
DaveBKK
Yes, same for me TOT on Sukhumvit. Horrendously slow and just plain packet droppage for several minutes at a time. I'm using DTAC edge as my faster alternative.
monty
Much better now over here on CAT premium. Download speeds are normal, upload is a tad slow and latency is still high. Ping to Thaivisa around 150 msec, normally around 60-70... Thaivisa test: Last Result:Download Speed: 1622 kbps (202.8 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 203 kbps (25.4 KB/sec transfer rate) To New York I'm getting good download speeds, but upload is completely congested! DP25
It's almost as bad this morning as it was last night. It seems to go from usable to unusable. 30 minutes ago I was getting a 1500 ping to Singapore, and everything beyond that was unreachable. Now its 150 to Singapore and overseas stuff works but is really slow. It's just ridiculous that an entire country's internet can down like this, especially one that thinks it's going to become some kind of IT center. RKASA
This moring its still the same thing. If its not cached at ToT or CAT it won't load. I can open google news front page but none of the links on it. and TV opens from the cache but don't bother following any fresh links. Anything requesting a fresh page is worthless making this internet they fixed with caching rather then the bandwidth they need a waste of time. If I don't see real internet by Thursday morning I am canceling when I pay the last bill. I not going to pay money for this crap. I don't have a use for internet that only kind of works at 2 am. I need it to work when I am using it. Thats why I am willing to pay 1700 for only 256k. Before they started offing twice the bandwidth for the same old price with adsl users I had a working 256k. Now I pay two and three times as much as an adsl 2mb and can't even get a working 256k connection. If ToT can't deliver even that much internet at this price, then sell off your internet operation to someone that knows how. Think about it ToT. Get your head out of dark smelly places. IT HUB! nikster
Thailand is back to normal-slow internet connectivity, so if you have severe problems they are more likely on the local level. traceroutes look fine now, CAT DSL works well, TOT DSL works as good as can be expected from that retard company, CAT CDMA is back up as well. There seems to be high packet loss but I am not sure it's normal for Thailand or not, or how to measure it properly.
