Indonesian Nationality

Featured Replies

Dear members

I would like that the mother of my son come's to Thailand ( to live here)

She has the Indonesian Nationality and lives for the moment in Holland.

Are there other rules for asian people to stay in Thailand?

What Visa she need?

Or she need only her passport? (she has own income) Age 36.

Thanks for your answers

Putu

what is your nationality?

If you are not Thai, what sort of visa are you on in Thailand?

And, are you married?

I have the Dutch nationality

I am here on a Non O visa Retirement and my son is here on a ED visa

I was married before with her and divorced, ( but sometimes people want to be together again) :o

We should wait for the retirement visa experts to give their expertise, but if you are not married, then it is unlikely that she will be able to stay. She could stay as part of your retirement visa if you were married.

The other alternative (perhaps) is if your son is attending on an ED visa, then I think one parent is allowed to stay per child studying. But we will need clarification from the experts (lop?)

She could get a visa on the basis of supporting your son who has a ED visa. Under section 7.10 of police order 606/2549.

In the case of a family member of an alien who has been permitted to stay temporarily in Thailand for study in an educational institution as set out in clauses 7.7 or 7.8 (applicable only to parents, spouse, children, adopted child or the child of his/her spouse): Permission will be granted for a period of not more than 1 year at a time.

BASIS OF CONSIDERATION

(1) The alien has obtained a temporary visa (NON-IM); and

(2) Proof of family relationship;

and

(3) In the case of spouse, the marital relationship shall be de jure (legitimate) and de facto;

or

(4) In the case of a child, adopted child or child of his/her spouse, the said person must not be married, must be living with the applicant, and must be less than 20 years of age; or (5) In the case of parents, there must be an account deposit with a local bank made in the name of father or mother of not less than Baht 500,000 as shown in bank account transactions for the past 3 months.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

1. Application form

2. Copy of the applicant's passport

3. Copy of passport of the alien who has been permitted to study in Thailand.

4. Proof of family relationship, e.g., marriage certificate, birth certificate, registration of legitimate child, household registration certificate, proof of child adoption, or any other evidence issued by the competent authority or government agency

5. Only in the case set out in clause (5), certificate of bank account deposit from a local bank in Thailand and copy of bank book shall be submitted.
