Just looking at booking a ticket with Cathay using my Kaisikorn web card and I notice the following as part of their rules and conditions on the Cathay website:

The cardholder does not need to book and travel. If a transaction is successfully made with "Verified by Visa", or "MasterCard® SecureCode™", the cardholder will not be required to present the physical card used for verification.

Now you can easily verify the Kaisikorn card with Visa but note that it will often fail because they input your address in Thai and you put it in in english. You will need to update your address first and then it will work.

With this you can now buy tickets for other people and not worry.

TN, do you think this is a universal thing or specific to Cathay ?
