May 23, 200818 yr We've had the warm-up on Wednesday now it's time for the BIG ONE but is the game being shown live on True/WETV or one of the Thai channels in Thailand? Love the play-offs and will watch Leeds Donny if it's on, as well.

Think it will be on Super Sports.

There's always a great atmosphere, maybe because there's less corporate people at these games but I don't mind who comes up Both looked pretty good in the Semis It's a Peter Kenyon free zone. I agree Keddy, and with these two teams it's a little different as they are not the usual suspects. Lived in Bristol for 7 years, and played at Ashton Gate when I was a nipper so have always had a soft spot for them. Should be a great game. I really thought City had blown it, but they have played well in the last couple of games, and ended up beating Palace who were the form team in the Championship to get to Wembley. I will hopefully be watching it tomorrow night in BKK.
May 24, 200818 yr Both these teams have done fantastically well to reach the Final of the play offs. What odds would you have got at the beginning of the season on it being Hull City v Bristol City ? More like struggling against relegation, methinks. Gary Johnson and Phil Brown have achieved minor miracles this season. Dont really mind who wins....both sides deserve their crack at the Premiership.
May 24, 200818 yr I lived in Hull from when I was 7 to 17 and used to watch The Tigers regularly,at that time Ken Wagstaff, etc were the heroes, I remember when we played Chelsea in the FA cup at Boothferry and lost. Black Friday my old man called it. Schoolfriends, Henry Priestman and Mark Herman wrote the music for when they run onto the pitch. I admit I couldn't wait to get out when I finished school and loved living in Bristol for the next 13 years' so I'm torn about today's game.' But The Tigers have never been anywhere so I've got to cheer them today. I knew I had to leave Hull when working in a fish factory in Hessle road in 1973 to save up money for a trip round Europe, my fellow workers expressed bewilderment at my plan,' Why do you want to go to Europe, you can watch it on television!'
May 24, 200818 yr Why do you want to go to Europe, you can watch it on television!' :D Good to see you popping into the football forum mate. Hows life?

Hopefully, though I fear not, Doncaster will do the business tomorrow; Hull in the top division and Leeds (& Ken Bates) in the 'third' - who'd ever have thought it? Even if they do go up, it's hardly the Champions League semi-final; how long ago was that? It must all seem a million miles away for the beleagured Leeds Utd supporters.
May 24, 200818 yr I predict both hull & stoke will give derby's infamous premier league points total a real challenge next season. Edited May 24, 200818 yr by game4shame
May 25, 200818 yr The goal from Windass was a cracker. It deserved to win any match. I just hope for Hull's sake that they have shitloads of money to invest, otherwise they will be in for a long season next year.
May 25, 200818 yr Well done to the Tigers. First time in the clubs history to right up there. Great goal from Windass....and thats a great name too....Windass.
May 25, 200818 yr beleagured Leeds Utd supporters. not at all , we've had our best season for years , and tonights match might just be the icing on the cake. whatever the outcome , its 2 yorkshire teams promoted and that has to be a good thing.
May 25, 200818 yr Congrats to Hull......first time in the top flight in their 104 year history. Dean Windass,at 39 what a fairy story......when he was playing for struggling Bradford City eighteen months ago,bet he never thought he'd get a crack at the Premiership in his career
May 25, 200818 yr Congrats to Hull - I have some affection for them Sunderland played them away inb 76 and my girlfriends parents went and it left us the house for 6 hours or so - the first time I had sex inside and naked instead of knee tremblers
May 25, 200818 yr and i always thought that taking your clothes off to have sex was considered perverted in sunderland.
May 25, 200818 yr and i always thought that taking your clothes off to have sex was considered perverted in sunderland. It was - that is why I remember the first time Now you have me thinking - I am going to Google this as seem to remember a 0-4 score and first day of season and pals wondering why I was not going Just googled - it was 77 and we lost 3-0 - the mind plays tricks http://www.thestatcat.co.uk/Mseasons/MSG99.asp I was at the Man U Sunderland game at Old Trafford when we were both in Division 2 and I thought for years the score was 2-2. That night Terry Fenwick of 76 World Cup Maradona shame snogged my girlfriend Edited May 25, 200818 yr by Prakanong

Bristol City is not my team. They had a really good season though, and of course it's a shame they didn't win it, but I'm happy for Hull to up, alhough I fear that they are going to take some serious drubbings next season. As for Bristol City, next season will be much harder, as they will not be a suprise package next year, and there are a number of teams in the Championship who probably have superior squads to Bristol City. Reckon Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Wolves, Ipswich, Watford, QPR, Reading and Birmingham will be the main pacesetters next time around.
May 25, 200818 yr I was at the Man U Sunderland game at Old Trafford when we were both in Division 2 and I thought for years the score was 2-2. That night Terry Fenwick of 76 World Cup Maradona shame snogged my girlfriend Surely that should be 'of 86 World Cup Shame......'

That night Terry Fenwick of 76 World Cup Maradona shame snogged my girlfriend Surely that should be 'of 86 World Cup Shame......' Of course you are totally correct it was 86 The night before my first ever Uni exam (and here I am taking them still this Wednesday) and I remember Harry the Bastrad sitting with a bottle of Tequila by the pond in Sorby Hall grounds drowning his sorrows after the game

Whilst I'm inclined to agree, I wouldn't be at all surpised if at least one of the two relegation 'certainties' managed to put up a much sterner fight than most people expect. Certainly at the start of the season as they may benefit from complacency. I wouldn't be surprised if Bristol City 'bounced' & find themselves at the opposite end of the table. It seems to happen quite often with the teams that just miss out. May 27, 200818 yr Clayton, I think that you have probably picked up on what I have said about the promotion contenders in the Fizzy next year, hence the reason that I have left Bristol City out of the equation. I certainly hope they don't do a Colchester, but i do feel that it will be a much harder season next year for them. Not sure though about Stoke or Hull staying up though. They will need to make some pretty big adjustments. I think Stoke may be the more difficult team to break down of the two, and teams will not like playing against them because of their physical approach.
