Flower Sellers & Picture Takers Arrested

Five Thai men and 15 Thai females were taken into custody on Walking Street at around 2:00am on Saturday and brought to a large room in the Soi 9 police station where they were charged with a variety of heinous offences ranging from selling flowers to unsuspecting tourists to asking to take candid photos of revelers.

Police claim they have received a number of complaints from tourists about the persistent actions of many of the itinerant street vendors on Walking Street and decided they needed to round up a clutch of these alleged pests and put a stop to their anti-social activities. A large number of cameras were impounded as evidence and the charge room resembled a florists shop on Valentines Day with the amount of shrubbery collected.

Usually the women seem to have 2-3 little kids with them they send off to latch onto the legs of the nearest farang

until he buys something. I wish they would put a stop to that. If you watch them operate, the women will often point

out farangs and then instruct the nearly infants to go accost them. Where are the tourist police volunteers?
