If you don't read Thai.. Forgetaboutit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally I vote with my wallet... If I'm not welcome, I won't give them anymore then I absolutely MUST.

Living in Thailand is certainly a nightmare "Dream" come True.

Seriously f#ck true... I'm stuck with them for my internet connection due to lack of alternatives where I live and even though I have the fastest regular connection they offer and I pay 2XXX thb for that it is still slow as hel_l... not to speak about the bottleneck times in the evening...

Sounds like you also got suckered into the True SME package (2500bt odd a mth) which is supposed to be quicker than the standard package, BUT u guessed it, ITS slower most of the time!!

I advise youi to Cut your Package down to the Minimum .. and pay for what you get...

Not for what you dream for..

In Thailand, Dreams Don't come TRUE...

Yeah, I personally don't care too much about 1000 or 2000 its just a shame that they don't deliver. I'm just worried that if we go for any lower package the download rates will be even worse. I can hit 500kbs downstream with utorrent but I guess I have some local connections going for this.

I smiled while reading this! :o Well, if you don't mind paying 2,000 every month for something worth a mere 500, it's up to you!

Here is your mistake! The speeds will be as bad but not worse. Trust me, my experience with True dates back from 2005 (I have since then resiliated all the contracts I had with them). They never deliver what they promise. They keep lying, and their Call Centre is one of the worse I have ever encountered in the galaxy. All their business rational is made out of 2 realities:

#1: Customers have no choice

#2: Customers are  stupid (or ignorant)

Since you have no choice where you are as for an ISP, at least, get the cheapest package from them (not sure what it is now, probably around 500-600 THB a month): you will get the same and, subsequently, the best value for money. Just like you, I don't care much about the monthly amount I pay (within a reasonable range...), but I hate to be cheated.

Let me explain briefly the different ADSL packages offered by True and what they correspond to:

500 THB/mth: customer with no choice

1,000 THB/mth: stupid/ignorant customer

2,000 THB/mth: very stupid/ignorant customer

I called the TRUE (Call Center) to inquire about their promotion. They replied that in my location (downtown Bangkok) the speed (of my cheapest package) can't be upgraded.

Who knows, maybe it's their way to refuse the existing customer to upgrade the speed limits.

I absolutley agree !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Experience is exactly the same.

Stop being cheated by the Liars at True... No Truth to be found there.

If they cared about their customers, would they put up a Thai page on the supposed English site ???

Where is the info for us???

They have no incentive to be competative or offer better service if we continue to enable them by allowing ourselves to bend over and accept what we deserve.

Stand up.. Revolt... Rebel... Stop paying for what you DON'T get!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have True in my bangkok condo and tbh I can't complain, now if they were in Sakeo province I could ditch my TT&T as they are far worse than True. My only dream is that Thailand stop the monopolies and get some competition happening.
