physical address 00-53-45-00-00-00

DHCP enabled No

IP Address 61.90.9.253

subnet mask 255.255.255.255

Default gateway 61.90.9.253

DNS servers 203.144.255.244

203.144.255.72

NETBIOS over TCP disabled

from connection icon on task bar

server ip address 61.90.9.1

client ip address 61.90.9.253

portforward.com reports:

Your external IP address is 203.144.144.186.

For Bit tornado the only place to enter your ip has a roll over description:

the IP reported to the tracker. Unless you are on the same intranet as this client the tracker will auto detect the clients IP and use this value

Torrent storm has an option to enter an IP under view/settings/downloader options

which figure do I put in?????????

thanks for your help

Pandit

I use Azureus, u should enter this IP 61.90.9.253 into the override IP address sent to tracker bar, its in config -> server.. Obviously the above IP is dynamic so u will need to change it every time u reconnect :o

Also try changing the port to a high number eg 25999, the chances are your ISP throttles the default port range.. You may also need to forward this port depending on yer hardware :D

I don't know, Bittorent seems a bit too involved to me.

Why not try DC++ instead - I really like it and it contains no spyware. Download speeds peak at 40 kB/s for me with 512/256 TRUE cable. Of course, it really depends on the user.

Bittorrent should not be complicated at all. The original BT client, which has worked fine for me, has no settings, and one button "cancel". The only problem comes when people set up firewalls (soft or hard). The only other problem seems to be when you are in Thailand.
