Hey all I am an American citizen, and I intend to move to Thailand in Feb. Right now I'm reconsidering which visa to get. I had planned on just applying for a triple entry tourist visa here in Denver. I was planning to do it this way because everything I have read until now has indicated that you must be able to show an 'official' purpose for your visit if you want to get a 90 day multi-entry non-immigrant visa. But today I got this email from the local Thai Consulate in Denver, USA:

For the Non-Immigrant 'O' Multiple Entry Visa you will need to send us:

1. Your passport

2. Completed and signed visa application

3. One passport sized photo

4. A money order for $125 made payable to D.W. Ringsby. We do not accept checks.

5. A self addressed postage paid envelope, Express Mail is recommended as we do not accept FedEx.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks,

Have I lucked into something here, or is the assistant forgetting something, or whaddaya reckon?

Thanks,

Daren

PS - I'm not gonna bring it to the Consulates attention 'til I hear back from the people here. So don't you either, please and thanks.

Daren -

You have lucked into a cooperative honrary consul. Get the one-year, multiple-entry Class O visa. It will be perfectly valid.

Good luck!
