Camera Desperately Needed Today!

Featured Replies

I'm n depserate need of a camera TODAY! I need a cheap compact that has a great macro function, I've read on google that the Nikon Coolpix 885 is good for this function but I don't know where to look, is there somewhere in bkk that sells second hand cameras? Please help!

Thanks in advance!

I'd suggest going to MBK center- lots of camera shops there, and a good number of them deal in good quality used equipment.

However, I'd be surprised if they had a used "consumer level" Nikon digital camera that you are looking for. If you want a specific model and want it today, you will probably have to bite the bullet and get a new one.

thanks for your reply bino, I'm off to mbk and pantip now, hopefully I'll find something suitable...

I once saw a complex near Yawarat/Chinatown and I remember it having many shops selling camera gear and SLR's but not so many point-and-shoots :o

I ended up going to the local pawn shop and buying some unluky souls Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55 - a very nice camera, 7.2mp, a bit small but it takes excellent macro shots!

Cost me B4,000 but came with no case, manual, USB cable, but did come with a battery charging unit...

I would recommend a visit to your local pawn shop if you ever want something slightly under priced, this camera is selling on ebay for about £10 more than I bought it for so not a bad deal if you don't need the extras.

Thanks for the ideas :o
