Can anyone advise please? I have two TVs an older Plasma and a new LCD HD1080 tv. 42 and 46 inch models respectively.

I also have two UBC boxes. You can either use S-video or Video with the Stereo Video Out connections. Also will using high quality leads make any difference to picture quality...thanks

S-Video will give a better picture than composite (the yellow RCA connector). Both require you to use the red and white audio cables to get sound :D

If you have short cables (1-2m) you're unlikely to see a significant difference when using premium cables, with longer cables the better ones do give an improvement.

At those screen sizes UBC looks pretty naff anyway :o

With my new Truevisions (hasn't been UBC in a year guys, time to buy a map) PVR box, I noticed a significant increase in picture quality when I connected it using the component cables (red, blue, green) to my Samsung LCD (32"). It was much much better than composite (red, white, yellow)

Thanks Guys..

Yes, ok Truevisions as it says on my bill, even my dish is halfway there, as it says UBC TRUE, for interest I do have the latest decoder box.

As I am getting older, eyes going and sit about eleven feet away from the TV...I need a big screen...it's only looks bad close-up to me!

As a side, how much should I pay for an S-video lead, and video leads?

thanks
