This beautiful home in Kanchanaburi was built by a local lady as her dream home 3 years ago. It's spacious and stylish without all the garish "modern Thai style" touches. The large garden is well established and has room for a swimming pool and parking for several cars. Located at the end of a dead-end soi, it's quiet with no passing traffic, yet it's a convenient walk to restaurants and convenience stores.

Why so cheap, is there a problem?

The property is in Kanchanaburi, therefore the more reasonable pricetag. If it were in Pattaya or on the islands, the price would be more than double.

Horses for courses as Thailand Tiger advised price in other places may well be more expensive.

I personally would not agree with his call on pataya due to the GLUT and anyone who denies this is tryng to sell a property or is in the property selling business.

Although only limited info supplied I would suggest the property is about 1m> but that is only my opinion at 2.5 a good buy at 2 a very good buy once again my opinion only.

You must remember Real Estate in Thailand is a different commodity than back home. Thais do not like buying second hand homes which naturally enough narrows your sell to base, farangs can not own land which narrows it even further, only x% of a condo block can be owned by a farang and the list goes on.

Example - recently looked at a property advertised for 875000 unfinished project 2/3 months go by it is reoffered at 645000 still unfinished of course probable selling price 52500 good buy if you actually want to live in that neck of the woods @ 475000 a very good buy with the same rider.
