You ought to think first how to leave your farang country with that USD 100K cash in your handbag. :o

and if you don't declare it to Thai Customs on arrival, you won't be able to take it out again. I'd be surprised if any bank would take a deposit of substantial funds that appear out of nowhere.

When I was in business, I would regularly take substantial amounts of cash from England into Thailand. The best advice I can offer is to make sure that you keep your bank's withdrawel slip, and a copy of your bank statement with you at all times whilst in transit, along with the cash! You should also check with your tax department, as some, for example HMRC in Britain, require you to have a specified form completed when you exit the country. As regards Thailand, I never had any problems with taking cash into the country.
