Hi Jim

I too keep coming up with banks on my searches. When I seen that they had emus in the zoo in Bangkok I thought my search was over but when I inquired about buying some they told me they can't sell any of their critters so I asked what they did with their surplus baby critters they wouldn't give me a answer. I know that zoos in the states sell their surplus but I sure assumed wrong about LOL. Thanks for trying and have a good day

Hi again Roger

You do not have to rely on zoos to purchase them in the states as there are many breeders and you can even find grown birds running free in some rural areas. Some emus farmers just turned their birds loose when they found them unprofitible. I occasionally see a pair of emus running free as there are very few predators that care to take them on. I've seen grown emus strip the hair from a dog that wandered into one of their pens.

I will keep you posted if I find out anything that I think may be of interest to you.

If you Google Breeding emus + thailand you will find a breeder in Malaysia who ships birds to Thailand.
