soap Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 got to be VENETIAN BLINDS because without VENETIAN BLINDS it would have been CURTAINS FOR ALL OF US
Naam Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 in my [not so] humble opinion these blue and yellow pills are the greatest invention
LaoPo Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 A human egg has been filmed in close-up emerging from the ovary for the first time ....without it you wouldn't be reading this... http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=194065 LaoPo
Cuban Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Hygiene. The root cause to the success of the human species - with the resultant population boom and effect on resources raped from this planet. Greater impact than the flint blade or the opposing (prehensile) thumb. Without hygiene there would be less of us.
LaoPo Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Lots and lots of dirty minds here.................. Greatest Invention Of All Times ?.....water, because without it beer wouldn't exist...and a lot more LaoPo
Chaimai Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Until I came to Thailand I would have gone for toilet paper - now I find it is superfluous because of those little hose pipes Probably vote for the microchip and the Internet (without which I would not be posting this - and possibly doing something healthy or useful........)
cloudhopper Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Wait!...OK I know now...it's - AIR! ... without it none of us would be reading this in Thailand
garro Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 I think that those who say things like air or water are cheating as they are not really invented are they.
BEENTHEREDONETHAT Posted June 14, 2008 Author Posted June 14, 2008 On a more serious note. I think that television and the computer are a toss up for changing the world the most.
garro Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 On a more serious note. I think that television and the computer are a toss up for changing the world the most. More than language and writing?
BEENTHEREDONETHAT Posted June 14, 2008 Author Posted June 14, 2008 On a more serious note. I think that television and the computer are a toss up for changing the world the most. More than language and writing? I think so as television has had a great influence in people learning a common language. You can find TV most anywhere and where you do you usually find people watching some english speaking movies.
garro Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 The wheel. I strongly disagree. I think the wheel delayed the invention of hovercraft by centuries. We could have been visiting other galaxies in flying saucers years ago if it wasn't for the dam_n wheel.

garro Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 The machine gun Don't even get me started on the machine gun. When I think about how much lazer gun technology was delayed by this...
BEENTHEREDONETHAT Posted June 14, 2008 Author Posted June 14, 2008 The machine gun A machine gun would be nothing without gunpowder.
