Hi there,

I have an acer 4920G with 2gb of ram running with vista home premium(32 bit) now I want to put in 4gb ram, according to the manual this is possible.

But will windows rocognise it because I heard 32 bit vista will only recognise max 2 gb ram.

does somebode know how much 4gb ddr2 ram will cost?

thanx

2GB notebook RAM sells for about 1500 baht so x2 = 3000 baht for Kingston or Corsair value select.

32bit Vista should see the 4GB but you will only get to utilize about 3GB of it.

You might consider running the 64 bit version of Vista, not only are you prepared for the future (the next windows might not even be released with a 32 bit version), but you will also be able to fully utilize the 4gb of ram.
