Has anyone come across a USB converter box in LOS. They sell for $80 in the USA but I don't have any "mules" coming over and I want to do some conversions of old family movies.

I bought one in Fortune Tower which was completely useless. Having searched around I cannot find anything here.

Coincidentally, I just saw mention of Pinnacle's "Dazzle" in the Bangkok Post Database section today. Might be worth a look?

I have a bunch of VHS tapes that I plan to archive to DVD, but I'm currently reckoning on trying to use video capture via a Canopus DV Storm2 card which I have (but haven't installed yet). In case that gets iffy, I'd be interested in other options (e.g. any direct machine to machine transfer route). As it happens I have a Pioneer DVR-340H HDD/DVD recorder and I'm thinking I may be able to do it that way? I need to, ermm....... RTFM :o.

Why is it useless? If I can get it to work I will buy it off you! Contact me by PM if you are interested, and of course if you are in Bangkok!

1st floor right side (you walk past it if you take the road bridge) of Pantip plaza is a place that specialize in Haupage stuff - get a A/V to USB adapter to convert your VHS to Digital.

My problem is I do not have a VHS player here. Apparently there is such a thing as a VHS to DVD converter box that allows you to slip in the vhs and output it to your computer through a usb connection
