June 18, 200818 yr Hello, we have been for several years in the Bayioke Sky and for the last 4 times in the Bayioke Boutique Hotel, we would like to know if there are also other hotels in a verrrrrry best shopping location (not the expencive super shopping malls, better the ones as Pratunam center, Indra square, Platinum...with the nice markets around) As we can book as airlinestaff we are looking for the hotels which have special prices for flight companies or a nice hotel with swimming pool, clean and in good. Anybody has an idea? We have 2 kids, so a pool is the minimum we have to offer them after a shopping trip around Bangkok. I appreciate your oppinions and suggestions, thanks a lot. familiakappa

If you are airline staff check with your interline sales department (pass bureau) and they will help you.
June 19, 200818 yr I met a guy from Australia a few years ago who told me he bought an airline ID in Aust. and used it for discount on hotels around the US while on an extended trip. Sure would cut your expenses. I wonder if Khao San Road has them??
June 19, 200818 yr But airline staff all their accommodations are arranged when flying - they don't pay a baht. I don't see the value of giving discounts to an airline employee.
June 19, 200818 yr Just call the hotel direct or their central reservations and ask for the TRAVEL INDUSTRY RATE 90% of hotels give you this. Especially the big names marriott, hilton etc. ID at check in.
June 19, 200818 yr I don't see the value of giving discounts to an airline employee. Because when we go on vacation the airline does not pay

If you are airline staff check with your interline sales department (pass bureau) and they will help you. so he said... I didn't ask anyone to find out what our jobs are if you doubt to my message. But our flight company for example doensn't fly to BKK anymore. We have the 35% in Bayioke Sky Hotel, can get a double room in the IBIS hotels for 1000 baht. We have a list where our airline books our hotel in the working period, but when we go on vacation, we prefere to spend less money for the hotels, but ship a lot of nice things home which costs a lot of money, too. So please, if anybody knows a nice place, even if you think airlinestaff YES or NO ??? contact me or replay to this. @Samuian, you know, there are Samuian who are relaxed, lovely and enjoy their lives on the island, love to give their informations to others helping them to make vacancy more relaxed. And there are some kind of people who are not happy at all, looking for anything wrong in others they can complain and contribute horny comments.....annoying as diarrea. What kind of Samuian do you want to seem?

Thank you dekka007, I will telefone there as soon as possible. Would be great to have the hotels paied as well as in service....
June 24, 200818 yr Again working for the airlines myself I always check with other staff regarding discounts while travelling on holiday. As I said before if you work for the airlines the pass bureau should be able to assist as they handle discounts for both business travel such as crew and holidays for staff. There are numerous newsletters that always offer discounts to airline staff which I'm sure they will be able to give to you. My airline for example has it all on the internet and we just sign in to find out the best offers for holiday travel. But if they are not able to help, one hotel I can recommend for you that is cheap and clean, with nice pool and decent breakfast included and ideal for families which offers an airline discount would be the Grand Unico Hotel on Silom (formely The Tower Inn). I've had airline friends stay there frequently and they offer up to 50pct off the rack rate. Good luck
June 24, 200818 yr JW Marriott occasionally offering upto 50pct with travel industry rate. Give their reservations a call. Still not cheap even with the discount but nice hotel Also Amari Watergate and Westin and Rama Garden are all heavily used crew hotels so chances are they will be more open to your request. More likely, your (previous) accommodation was arranged by the airline or AMEX that gives you huge discounts. You can't do that now. I was staying at Pan Pacific in Singapore for 160S$, through my company (AMEX arranged that). Now, I tried to do that again for a private trip, told them which company I work for - the price is 320S$.
