English/german Speaking Palymates In July?

Featured Replies

Hi. My kids (ages 5 and 8) and I will be visiting their grandparents in Bangkok in July. Last time, they were bored to death of eachother's company by the end of the holidays. :o Sadly, they don't speak much Thai.

Can you give me any suggestions for meeting up with some resident (i.e. not tourist) English or German speaking kids in Bangkok during this period? Are there some clubs, activities, or popular hangouts we can try?

Thanks,

Ananke

Thank you for that suggestion - will certainly look into it.

Are the international schools on holiday about now too?

I was also thinking of something less organised as well. More like the chance for just running into some local english speaking children. Normally when we go on holiday, for example, they seem to just make friends in the hotel playground or at the beach, etc.

This trip, as we are staying with (older) relatives so they won't really have that chance, unless I make more of an effort.
