I downloaded and installed Opera 9.51 today. 9.5 had been working fine. Twice already I have gotten the message that Opera has encountered a problem and has to close. Not much of an improvement. :o

Works for me however I did see a lot of people complaining on the Opera forum when the 9.50 version was released. In a lot of cases the problems are going to be due to other things like Flash and java not being updated and some websites not working with the latest version. Same happens with Firefox. I had one function that stopped working in 9.50, e-mailed the developer who wasn't even aware there was a new version of Opera. Next day it was working again so it was only a minor fix.

I had a lot of crashes also when I upgraded from 9.5 to 9.51 last week, but it seems to have stabilized now for some reason.  If it starts crashing again, I'll go back to 9.5.  One think I do like about Opera is that when you reload after a crash, you can continue from where you left off, opened tabs and all.  Maybe Opera will rush out a newer version rather sooner than later since we are having problems.

Maybe I complained too soon. I have been using it for about three hours this morning and no crash yet.

One thing, after upgrading you really need to HARD reboot your computer, which means: switch off and switch on again.

Cheers.

I do turn off my computer over night. Since I have started it today, no problems.
