Happened to me yesterday.

Did MS update, restarted and no more internet.

Switched off ZA and had internet.

Now using Commodo.

Does anybody know if this problem affects only the latest ZoneAlarm version?

I am still running ZA vers. 7.0.337.000 on all PCs

On one PC (XP SP3) the MS update KB951748 did not show up and all is working OK with ZA.

On one PC (XP SP2) the update did download but I am holding installation for now for fear of running into trouble.

AFAIK any version 7 will be affected. It is simple, just go to the Zone Alarm site, click on the big yellow box and download the update for the software as I noted here days ago. The windows DNS patch is important and should not be so lightly dismissed.

Just updated my ZA to version 7.0.483.000 and installed the MS update KB951748 on the Win XP SP2 PC and so far everything appears to be working OK.
