Besides the airplane there are many busses, inclusing night busses going to Mae Sod from MohChit busstation. Trip takes about 8 hours. Alternatively you can travel to Tak and take a minibus from there to Mae Sod. (only during the day).

Border is just a few km's from Mae Sod, with song taew's going there.
